In the context of the project “Strengthening the fight against transnational organized crime in South-Eastern Europe through improved regional co-operation in asset seizure, confiscation, management and re-use” the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (the OSCE) has prepared a video explaining the social re-use of confiscated assets and why it is important to give these assets back to the society.
Social re-use of confiscated assets from organized crime contributes to restoring communities’ confidence in the rule of law and promotes their involvement in the fight against organized crime.
